Sometimes, ALT Text Can Send The Wrong Message

In email marketing, the use of alt attributes in images is often a recommended and common practices for communicating branding elements and graphic calls to action, while images are “off”. However with this particular execution, I’m afraid it backfired.

    I have mixed feelings about this, but there’s some interesting things you can do with alt tags to improve their utility. Worth a test, right? :) Here’s an example:

    I believe you can also play with sizing attributes. In any case, adding height and width attributes to your image and matching the text to image size can also help with displays.
